A Super Weekend...

On a weekend that we hoped would be remembered as our dear Chargers' second appearance in the Super Bowl, and first ever win (fantasy ends here), we instead will remember the weekend for a few other (equally as great) things...
After a less than enthusiastic response to rice cereal and oatmeal, Reagan tried sweet potatoes.  She actually seemed interested in the delectable entree item. mmmm... D- Licious! as her aunt Maggie will soon teach her!

Super sisters!

Reagan gets in on a little lawn seeding action :)

Rylie's Post

As I was just posting the previous comment, this is what Rylie had to say.

I wanna see Shamu (also commonly -and affectionately- referred to as "Shampoo") berry quick. And then dolphins and seals.  Can I do it?  Can I do it right now?

I think we are ready for our '09 Sea World passes!!

This one's for you Ang!

To our favorite uncle Andrew who is living all the way across the world in Kenya.  This cup-o-joe is for you.

note: there will actually be lots of cups of this joe since we picked it up at Cost-to-the-Co (as my good friend Sabrina would say!) when  recovering from the formula incident.

A Very Happy Day

Happy Birthday Grandpa!  Surf's Up!

Toby's thoughts

At a time when things can't seem any crazier at our house I think this blog thing is going to be one of the coolest things we've yet done as a family.  Not only am I going to be the "Arial" font writer (to Rebecca's "Lucinda Grande") but I'm going to do some writing again.  Other than my patient's notes (which are exceptional I might add) I don't really get to write any more.  Becca will tell you that writing is my happiest mode of communication.  Maybe this will rekindle some of those creative fires that we had going more during the courtship phase of our lives together.  At the very least you guys will all be able to laugh as I communicate to my wife in a different way than our usual through the blog.  In a spirit of humility I'm deeming my postings the "Honestly Who Throws a Shoe" column because that phrase will apply in so many as yet to be determined ways.  This is the first humble post from the man who.... forgot to help by picking up the world's largest tin of formula at Costco on the way home after convincing my wife to wait another day to get it and now Reagan's out.  Classic move dad.

Thank goodness for big sisters

Peer Pressure

We caved.  Yep, we did it.  We have a blog.  In order to ensure that this stays current, Toby and I have divvied up the responsibilities and here is goes:

Toby : music play list and sports commentary
Rebecca: everything else

At least now you know who to blame if a certain area falls short of your viewing expectations.

As I prepare for this monumental milestone, I just wanted to share a few blogging facts...

How many times we have been asked "Why don't you have a blog"
I've lost count.  Well actually I never started counting but it was a lot.
First blogger we ever knew.
Michael and Cathy Bachman.  Cathy, you are my blogging hero.
Funniest Blog that we visit.
Sabrina Maddry  She has pictured of people on bicycles at a drive-up ATM on her blog. Do I need to explain further?
Stacy Davies - between her dislocated arm story and Sidney's latest revelations, her blog makes me laugh! (Stacy, I am only laughing about your arm because I know you and your arm are ok:)!)
Blog we check most often.
Holly and Rolf Graning.  They are slowly releasing baby Liam pictures.  It is a scam to increase viewership I am sure but I compulsively check the blog daily.  Usually around midnight.
Why did we start a blog?
Because Toby said "why don't we have one of these" at least 16 times while checking up on all of our friends' blogs tonight.

So, here we go...
