Two thursdays ago now we headed to the Animal Defense League to turn in the kittens each finally weighed in at 2 lbs.
Both Toby and I thought this might be traumatic for Rylie so I was prepared with a coping plan which it turned out I didn't need! We said our goodbyes at home, Rylie got to carry the crate and she was comforted to know that Miss Sharon was going to find good homes for each kitten (and give them their "pokes" aka shots).
So a chapter closes in our summer adventures.
...And by the way, oddly enough I haven't seen the mother cat around since we took the kittens in. Maybe she was just sticking around to make sure they were ok? Could her maternal instincts be so in tune?
Well I am sort of a little sad....I was looking forward to sharing a bathroom with 3 little kittens! Can't wait to see you.
